STAC Japan 2026
The first STAC community gathering in Japan — three days of workshops for STAC producers and consumers, hosted by JAXA and timed to lead into FOSS4G Hiroshima.
The first STAC community gathering in Japan. Over three days at JAXA’s Tsukuba Space Center, the STAC Project Steering Committee (STAC PSC), JAXA staff, and STAC practitioners from across industry and academia will come together to build the STAC community in Japan and surface STAC’s strategic value for open science.
The workshop is hosted by JAXA’s Satellite Applications and Operations Center (SAOC) in partnership with CNG and the STAC PSC, and is intentionally timed to lead into FOSS4G 2026 in Hiroshima the following week. It also follows directly after CNG Japan on August 24, making it easy to attend both events back-to-back before heading to Hiroshima.
Note: JAXA Tsukuba is a restricted-access facility. All attendees must pre-register to receive a badge.
